You know you’re bad when you win Europe’s Leading Luxury Hotel, Italy’s Leading Hotel, Europe’s Leading Hotel Suite AND Italy’s Leading Hotel Suite (World Travel Awards 2015). Yep, the Excelsior Hotel Galia has outdone itself (and every other luxury hotel). I’ve not visited Italy yet (I know… how did I get to Kazakhstan before Italy??), so I’ve swiped the information about the design and Katara Suite from the hotels website. Even if I don’t stay in the Katara Suite (it’s $21G’s per night), I will definitely visit the hotel and experience the beautiful architecture and design..
Excelsior Hotel Gallia reflects the glittering essence of Milan’s sophistication. Originally opened in 1932, the hotel has been completely renovated by renowned Milanese designer Marco Piva. An architectural jewel of Belle Époque grandeur Piva has created an extraordinary new destination in the city of style.
Excelsior Hotel Gallia is the entrance gate to Milan, where fashion, design and cuisine come together to make a city renowned for its creativity. Let our experienced Luxury Collection Concierge be your guide to an unforgettable stay.
The Katara Suite…
The Katara Suite offers guests the epitome of quintessential refinement. Measuring 1000m2, this suite is one of Italy’s largest and includes a private meeting room on the 8th floor and 2 dedicated terraces – one of 250m2 which offers the perfect dinner setting, and the other with an exclusive solarium – a private Pagoda spa, with jacuzzi, under the dome for a moment of relaxation. The Katara Suite offers 4 bedrooms including a Princess Suite. The hotel provides a diplomatic entrance that can be used to gain direct access to the Katara Suite.
The suite also offers a private kitchenette, furnished with Limoges porcelain and french crystal. The room is also directly linked to the Studio meeting room on the 8th floor.
