modernist luxury: Barceló Torre de Madrid hotel

I’m traveling to Paris, Italy and Spain this summer and plan to Airnb for most of the trip. We’re staying in Barcelona and haven’t decided if we’re going to take the 3 hour train ride over to Madrid, but if we do, I will definitely check out this hotel.

The new Barceló Torre de Madrid hotel is located in one of the most iconic buildings in the capital: the Torre de Madrid. Designed by internationally renowned Spanish designer Jaime Hayón, winner of the EDIDA 2016 design award.

This designer hotel is the most convenient place to stay to discover Madrid, thanks to its excellent location in the Plaza de España, a few steps from the Gran Vía, a 10-minute walk from the Royal Palace of Madrid and a 15-minute walk from the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor.

Its 258 rooms are fully equipped, forming a perfect blend of modernity and sophistication. Designed to guarantee the very highest standards of quality, these rooms provide everything necessary to satisfy the most discerning guests, whether travelling for business or pleasure.

With unique and exclusive character, the hotel’s spectacular building is a symbol of the city, not only thanks to its magnificent location, but also because, for a few years, it was thought to be tallest concrete building in the world.

It has first class facilities, including a stylish bar on the ground floor, meeting rooms to accommodate all types of events, restaurants where you can try exquisite dishes, and a Wellness Zone with a fitness studio for those wanting to keep fit, all while enjoying all of the cultural delights that this city has to offer. The Plaza España metro station is located just in front of the hotel, enabling you to easily reach other part of the city in just a few minutes. In addition, the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is just 21 km away.
